Campus Party is recognized as the largest gathering event of technology, creativity, leisure and culture in the digital networked world. It is an annual gathering held since 1997 for seven days gathering thousands of participants with their computers from all over Spain and other nations, to share concerns, exchange experiences and carry out all activities related to the computer, communications and New Technologies. It was hold in the City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia, organised by Asociación E3 Futura.

 

The event counts with many sponsors. Public and private organizations support and participate actively in the event since its inception: institutional sponsors such as the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, Institute for Youth, Generalitat Valenciana, Valencia City Council, etc.; technology companies such as Telefonica, HP, Cisco System, Microsoft, IBM, Fujitsu, Sun, etc. Private companies such as Coca-Cola, Nokia, Xbox, PlayStation, BBVA, Iberdrola, Lycos, Electronic Arts, Vivendi Universal, etc.

 

Although its public is mainly young people, in the latest editions older and infomarginated people have also a place of their own. T-Seniority was presented at the Zona Expo Digital Inclusion The 2009 event gathered more than 6000 participants (“campuseros”).
