The Consortium of the project T-Seniority: "Expanding the benefits of Information Society to Older People through digital TV channels" will held its SECOND PUBLIC WORKSHOP on October 18th 2010.


The event will take place in PARIS, Monday 18 October 2010. The Venue is yet to be confirmed.


Participation is free, and anyone involved in projects (FP7, AAL, CIP) dealing with new technologies and seniors should attend this unique event.

T-Seniority is an innovative ICT-solution particularly focusing on areas of public interest that directly address ICT and the main themes of the i2010 in 2007. T-Seniority is especially working on ICT for accessibility, ageing and social integration, reinforcing both European and existing national initiatives.

 

ICT services, skills, and content are a growing part of the economy and society. T-Seniority is working to achieve an Inclusive European Information Society that is consistent with sustainable development and that prioritises better public services and quality of life; therefore fully in line with the EU strategic framework i2010.

 

The uptake of ICT in businesses is in general addressed by the private sector, however public policies need to focus on creating the best conditions for business developments. In the context of T-Seniority, public intervention is also needed in order to improve awareness of ICT benefits, to promote ICT-enabled innovation in products and services and to stimulate their deployment and best use. Despite good progress in European uptake of ICT, Europe can improve in terms of exploiting e-Services like T-Seniority addressing a variety of technology choices.
